''My Family, My Films, and My Nation'' is a 1998 Indonesian political essay film directed and written by Garin Nugroho. The film is a montage of footage from some of his documentary films from the Orde Baru age under Suharto Regime. Nugroho's intent behind the film is to raise awareness of the social issues in Indonesia during the Suharto Regime. Under the section "My Father," Nugroho displays scenes from his documentary ''Air dan Romi'', (English: "''Water and Romi,''") which tells a story about men who are part of the cleaning service of a dirty river in Jakarta. In "My Mother," Nugroho shows North Sumatran women talking about how pollution from factories affects their children.
